1. ਤਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਗੱਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਛੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਘੜਾ ਲਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਆਏ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ, ਜਾਂ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਿਆ, ਜਾਂ ਜਾਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਸੀ।
